  • K–12 Responsible Use and Device Agreement

    This agreement must be completed before your student can access a district-issued device.
  • Please review and discuss the guidelines below, as many may be applied at home
    as well.

  • Cooperation

    • I will share technology tools and digital spaces appropriately with classmates.
    • I will listen to others’ ideas when working together on a device or online project.
    • I will ask for help kindly when I need it and offer help to others when I can.
  • Cooperation

    • I will collaborate respectfully and responsibly with classmates in digital spaces.
    • I will share digital resources appropriately and be an active, positive partner in group work.
  • Assertiveness

    • I will speak up if I see something online that makes me uncomfortable or is unsafe.
    • I will ask an adult if I am unsure whether something is okay to click or share.
    • I will use my own work and ideas and give credit when I use someone else’s.

    • I will report any inappropriate, unsafe, or harmful digital behavior to a trusted adult.
    • I will ask questions and speak up if something online feels confusing, unsafe, or unkind.
    • I will advocate for myself and others to ensure online spaces are safe and respectful for everyone.

    • I will use school devices and programs for learning and school activities only.
    • I will follow teacher directions about when and how to use devices.
    • I will keep my passwords and personal information private.
    • I will leave websites, games, and videos that are not approved for school.
    • I will take care of my school-issued devices and report any problems right away.

    • I will use school technology, accounts, and devices for appropriate, school-related purposes.
    • I will use technology tools appropriately and avoid accessing sites, apps, or content not approved for school.
    • I will protect my personal information, passwords, and digital identity. 
    • I will respect intellectual property by giving credit when I use others’ ideas, images, or work.
    • I will immediately report damaged equipment, security concerns, or problems accessing resources.

    • I will treat others with kindness and respect in all digital spaces.
    • I will use kind words in messages, and online comments.
    • I will think about how my words and actions online might make someone feel.

    • I will avoid posting, sharing, or forwarding content that could hurt, embarrass, or exclude someone.

    • I will stay on task and use digital tools for their intended purpose.
    • I will manage my time online responsibly and follow time limits.
    • I will pause and think before posting, sending, or sharing anything online.
    • I will tell an adult if I feel frustrated or upset while using technology.
  • Self-Control

    • I will manage my screen time, stay focused during learning activities, and avoid distractions.
    • I’m aware of my digital footprint and the impact that using technology has on it.
    • I will seek help from a trusted adult if I experience or witness online conflict, bullying, or inappropriate content.
